Doula and Owner
Hi, friend! I’m so glad you’re here.

My name is McKenzie. While my official title is Birth and Postpartum Doula, I like to think of myself as a “villager” in your village. As people we thrive in community, but as mamas? We flourish when supported by other women.

“Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their labor: If either of them falls down, one can help the other up. But pity anyone who falls and has no one to help them up.” ~Ecclesiastes‬ ‭4‬:‭9‬-‭10‬ ‭NIV‬‬

A little about me, I grew up absolutely fascinated by how the female body works. My mom had my youngest brother when I was 3 years old and at the time TLC was still airing shows like “A Baby Story” and “Bringing Home Baby.” Needless to say, I wasn’t interested in morning cartoons as much as I was interested in watching moms birth their babies and bring them home. This foundation shaped the way I thought about motherhood and how families were formed. Once I hit middle school my interest peaked about the inner workings of the female body after I attended my first sexual education class. I began sounding a lot like my now 2 year old and asking “Why?”

After spending years researching how intricate our bodies really are, and going through fertility issues myself, I learned how God’s design is truly remarkable. I knew then and there that more women needed this information about their bodies and how their babies were formed in their womb.

My motto “Life Leaps Here” is about so much more than the leap into motherhood. It’s about the first person we believe was filled with the Holy Spirit, John the Baptist, while still being formed in Elizabeth’s womb. The mere presence of Jesus who was not yet born caused him to leap for joy!

I’d love to hear your story and learn how I can best support your family during this season. Schedule your free consultation and let’s chat over a cup of coffee. Congratulations
